BMW the leader in the luxury car section is adding a new compact SUV BMW X1 in India which will be launched on 23rd Dec, 2010. The compact SUV is expected to be coming in two interlingual renditions in India - Corporate Variant and Highline. The BMW X1 is jobbed to be powered with 1.8 liter gasoline and 2.0 l diesel engine. The compact SPORT UTILITY, BMW X1 terms will begin at Rs 22 lakh.
The all new SUV BMW X1 is coming in a rear-drive vehicle which will help BMW to price the car competitively against its competitions. The BMW X1 is based on the 3 series platform. The BMW X1 is fit out with stronger wheelbase of 2760 millimetre and 4454 mm long. The BMW X1 CE nucleotide version will not include the following features such as i-drive interface, sunroof and 6-CD modifier instead it will have single CD player. The CE variation will have textile seats and simple black trim other than wooden dois. In the top end BMW X1 Highline theoretical account, the motorcar will have Xe headlights, leather seats and parking detectors.

BMW X1 which is based on the BMW 3 series, will be fetched here as a CKD unit of measurement and foregathered at the company's manufacturing plant in Chennai. It is expected that BMW X1 will open up new compact SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE segment. The BMW X1 will start with a toll orbit of Rs 22 lakh which is priced quite competitively in the domesticated machine marketplace. The compact SPORT UTILITY VEHICLE has hit alot of popularity in the oversea market place and is seeing the growth in the Indian machine market which has lured the car maker to set in motion the new SUV in India.
